15. A Vision of Hell

September 13, 2017

100th Anniversary of the Blessed Virgin's 5th Apparition at Fatima

"Thus says the Lord.  For those who do not believe in hell and the eternal punishment they face for un-repented and non-absolved crimes and those who believe few go there, tell them about this!"

Immediately, I was shown a very enormous hole with a gaping mouth.  The mouth alone was larger than the inner solar system.  From this opening extremely oppressive heat and flames poured out which enveloped the earth, licking incessantly at every corner of the globe.  Next I found myself within the mouth at the very rim of the hole and I knew this was the Great Abyss.  Looking down I could see level upon level that stretched endlessly downward and nearly every inch was filled with countless writhing incandescent forms.  There was an unbearable deafening high-pitched screech of blended screams of torment and terror.  The heat was so tremendous that I instinctively knew that, were it not for God's protection, my flesh and my very bones would instantly blacken and vaporize.  I was given to know that heat was more than a million times that of the sun.  The incandescent forms and the fire that engulfed them brightly illuminated the whole expanse.  Into this inferno new souls fell continuously like a torrential rain.  Upon passing through the gaping mouth, each new arrival instantly exploded into incandescence as they burst into flame.  These souls slowly drifted downward until each of them reached the level or place where the intensity of their pain matched the severity of their unrepented offenses against God and neighbor.  As each new soul entered the abyss it was immediately met by a hideously glowing demon who would be a "companion" to that soul for all eternity.  Each demon mercilessly and continuously heaps verbal, emotional, spiritual and physical abuse on its charge.  Constantly mocking, deriding and laughing gleefully at the satanic lies believed by the soul, it beats it with what looked like a white hot steel rod with protruding spikes in one hand and with the other repeatedly thrusts a sword adorned with jagged and sharp hook-like protrusions deep into every part of the soul, ripping away any vestiges of goodness.  The screams of the souls are a mixture of agony, indignation, terror and a plethora of hate-filled epithets, blasphemies and curses against God and anything and everything holy.  The mere mention of God, Jesus, the Blessed Virgin, or St. Michael causes both the demons and the souls to scream more intensely with terror and to cringe in fear.

At a much deeper level than these tormented souls with a wide gulf between them was another layer or section with fewer souls, the burning of which was even brighter and hotter than those above.  These were the souls of religious, each accompanied by two pummeling demons, who were unfaithful and had betrayed the faith.  Deeper still and separated by another gulf were the brightly burning souls of priests, each with its six demon guards.  At an even lower level and with the fire engulfing each soul tinged with blue were the souls of the pastors of souls, the bishops including archbishops and cardinals.  Because they were directly part of the apostolic succession, each had twelve tormentors.  Far, far below them such that the lay souls far above appeared as mere pinpoints, was the place reserved for popes, the unfaithful vicars of Christ.  These burned with intense blue flames.  Each unfaithful and heretical pope was surrounded by a multitude of demons equaling the number of apostles plus the total number of faithful popes from Peter to when Jesus returns.  Still deeper was a single very intense blue fire.  This was the soul of Judas Iscariot, whose tormentors numbered all of the faithful.

All the demons were hideously ugly, but one in particular was so ugly and deformed that merely to glance at him was terrifying.  Deep within this bottomless cavern was an enormous flaming throne made of white-hot twisted and curved spikes.  On this throne sat this utterly horrible and terrifying creature who was a huge figure pierced everywhere on his body by the constantly moving and twisting spikes.  He was so gigantic that were he standing, at six feet in height, I would barely reach his mid-calf.  Like all the demons, his wings were in shreds with the tatters fluttering in the heat produced stifling breeze.  While he squirms and writhes, like all those in hell, in excruciating agony he screams continuous curses and insults at the souls and frequently points at one or another of the souls in particular agony and laughs gleefully, being joined in his guffaws by the demons gathered around him in chairs similar to his throne.  From time to time he looks up at the mouth of the abyss and watches the newly arriving souls exploding into incandescence, clapping fiercely.  I knew this creature was Satan basking in all of his unholy glory and I shuddered involuntarily, knowing throughout my whole being that I never wanted to be anywhere near him.  Even in a vision he was much too close.

I was given to understand that where, in various places, Holy Scripture says the wicked will be eternally destroyed, this is how.  I understood that, unlike our understanding, this destruction was not immediate or a completed process.  Rather, in hell everything that is part of each condemned creature is totally consumed by the everlasting fire, not just the body and soul but every thought, desire, emotion, longing, dream, joy, sorrow, happiness, memory, plan, hunger, love.  All are being reduced to nothingness, but the process takes all of eternity to complete and, in the meantime, the damned endure infinite agony of every type.

Knowing my extreme discomfort, God graciously and mercifully ended the vision.

"You must tell them what you've seen, what awaits those who do not turn round!  They have not much time and I, I, am the only one Who can save them," the Lord told me.
